Facilities Forum Launch Lunch Recap
The Facilities Forum Launch At RAFI North Sydney
A custom shared menu, flower wall and guest list of incredible women were some of the highlights at The Facilities Forum launch event.
In May 2024, female led community group The Facilities Forum officially launched with an inaugural lunch event at RAFI. Founded by Lisa Macqueen and Sally Hunt from Cleancorp, and Nora Potter from Ecofy, The Facilities Forum aims to empower women in the facilities industry across Australia. The guest list included attendees from Cerebral Palsy Alliance, JLL, Cromwell Property Group and H&M to name a few.
The vibe was buzzing as attendees arrived and were greeted with a glass of Applejack ‘Be Present’ Prosecco and a flower wall with neon letters from Electric Confetti perfect for capturing the moment. Simple yet elegant floral centrepieces made of Colombian pink roses adorned the tables which featured custom menus. Highlights included seared kingfish with tomato ponzu, cucumber & house made sambal, crispy eggplant with spices, honey & herbs and grilled lamb backstrap with mint salsa verde. For dessert, guests enjoyed shared plates of coconut mousse with sago, pineapple & mezcal alongside our decadent double chocolate mousse with macadamias & tonka beans.
With no sales pitches allowed, the lunch created an environment for authentic relationship building and career enrichment. As the founders described, “The Facilities Forum’s mission is to create a space where talented women can meet their peers, network with industry leaders, build their brand, and engage in lifelong learning.”
In traditionally male-dominated fields, this is a vital new community and resource for women to lift each other up, share experiences, and blaze paths forward together. The inaugural launch lunch was a great success, setting the stage for many more incredible events to come from The Facilities Forum.
