Georgia & Will’s Wedding Reception At RAFI North Sydney

Canapés on the terrace, a banquet that guests are still raving about, and a night that ended on the dance floor in the Arbour – Georgia and Will’s wedding was one to remember.

Some venues host events. Others become part of the story. On Saturday the 11th of April, RAFI North Sydney opened its doors exclusively for Georgia and Will’s wedding celebration. Eighty-five guests joined the couple for an evening that moved effortlessly from cocktail hour to candlelit dinner to a night of dancing. Each space at RAFI setting the scene for a different chapter of the night.

A cocktail hour to kick things off
After the ceremony – just a five-minute walk away – guests arrived at RAFI’s terraces for canapés and cocktails.

A banquet worth talking about
Guests were then welcomed into the Main Dining Room for a three-course seated dinner, with Georgia and Will opting for a shared banquet – and it’s safe to say it was a hit. “The food! We loved it, and our guests did too (they still talk about it today!),” Georgia shared. The share plates format had guests passing dishes, pouring wine, and glued to their seats long after the last course. “No one left hungry,” Georgia noted, “which was great.”

Personal touches that made it their own
Georgia and Will made the space their own with a custom seating chart, personalised sign, and their own florals – while RAFI’s events team handled all vendor coordination behind the scenes. “Rafi communicated with all the vendors about delivery, so we didn’t have to – definitely made planning a lot less stressful,” Georgia said.

From the dinner table to the dance floor
Once dinner wrapped up, the celebration moved to the Arbour, where guests gathered for the cake presentation before the real fun began. Georgia and Will had chosen the Arbour as their dedicated dance floor space, complete with a live DJ. “We loved all the little seating areas, how cool the dining areas were, and how fun the dance floor was!”

For Georgia and Will, the decision came down to a combination of things – the central North Sydney location, the food, and the venue’s one-of-a-kind atmosphere. “We loved how unique Rafi is in terms of a reception venue. The decor and styling are so cool and added a unique touch to our day.”
