Sydney Weekender Visits RAFI

Sydney Weekender dropped by North Sydney to taste RAFI’s top dishes.

Applejack Head of Culinary, Patrick Friesen, cooked up a storm and chatted to Channel 7 Presenter Karen Ledbury about all things RAFI, sustainability, and delicious food.

It was great to have the Sydney Weekender team in to enjoy all that RAFI has to offer, with the episode highlighting the growth of the culinary scene North of the bridge.

“The North Side is having a restaurant revival & RAFI is leading the charge…”

Karen tasted her way through some of our favourite dishes, including our Angus Ribeye which she quoted as “that is one of the best steaks I’ve ever tasted”, our Raw Platter which “literally dances on your tastebuds” & our crispy eggplant “I think you might have won me over, this is sensational.” Safe to say she enjoyed her meal with us!

Patrick chatted to Karen about the sustainability aspect of RAFI, our focus on fresh seafood and vegetable dishes, plus how he creates each of the dishes. It was fantastic hearing from Patrick with his vast knowledge of produce and the dishes served here at RAFI. It was a pleasure hosting karen and the entire Sydney Weekender team, thanks for showcasing North Sydney, we look forward to having you back!
